The 6 Hours Race Series - Barbados
The 6-Hour Series is a rental kart racing event taking place at Bushy Park in Barbados. Participants do not need a racing license to drive these karts and join the competitions; however, some karting experience is recommended before participating in these races.
The series will feature five races, culminating in a 24-hour race that awards double points. In its inaugural year, only two races will be held, with championship points rolling over into 2026, concluding with the 24-hour race in October 2026.
Teams, consisting of 4 to 10 drivers, will compete in long stints over the 6-hour duration, requiring effective management of fuel, pit stops, driver changes, and adapting to changing track conditions. Competitors will drive the Sodi RT8 karts equipped with Honda GX390 engines, capable of reaching speeds of 60 to 70 MPH.
Participants must be at least 16 years old to drive the GX390 engine or possess a racing license. This event provides an excellent opportunity for novice drivers to race alongside professionals. It is advisable to have some experience on a racetrack before entering.
As teams and drivers gear up for the 24-hour race at the season's end, the grid will also open up to global participants, inviting teams from other countries to compete in the 24 Hours of Barbados.
Teams are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee to participate in the race series. Failure to pay this entry fee may result in the invalidation of your entry. Once you are successfully entered into the series, your registration fee will cover the 24-hour event as part of your championship.
